1 Samuel 20:3

SV	Toen zwoer David verder, en zeide: Uw vader weet zeer wel, dat ik genade in uw ogen gevonden heb; daarom heeft hij gezegd: Dat Jonathan dit niet wete, opdat hij zich niet bekommere; en zekerlijk, [zo waarachtig als] de HEERE leeft, en uw ziel leeft, er is maar als een schrede tussen mij en tussen den dood!
WLC	וַיִּשָּׁבַ֨ע עֹ֜וד דָּוִ֗ד וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ יָדֹ֨עַ יָדַ֜ע אָבִ֗יךָ כִּֽי־מָצָ֤אתִי חֵן֙ בְּעֵינֶ֔יךָ וַיֹּ֛אמֶר אַל־יֵֽדַע־זֹ֥את יְהֹונָתָ֖ן פֶּן־יֵֽעָצֵ֑ב וְאוּלָ֗ם חַי־יְהוָה֙ וְחֵ֣י נַפְשֶׁ֔ךָ כִּ֣י כְפֶ֔שַׂע בֵּינִ֖י וּבֵ֥ין הַמָּֽוֶת׃
Trans.	wayyiššāḇ^a‘ ‘wōḏ dāwiḏ wayyō’mer yāḏō‘a yāḏ^a‘ ’āḇîḵā kî-māṣā’ṯî ḥēn bə‘êneyḵā wayyō’mer ’al-yēḏ^a‘-zō’ṯ yəhwōnāṯān pen-yē‘āṣēḇ wə’ûlām ḥay-JHWH wəḥê nafəšeḵā kî ḵəfeś^a‘ bênî ûḇên hammāweṯ:

AC	ג וישבע עוד דוד ויאמר ידע ידע אביך כי מצאתי חן בעיניך ויאמר אל ידע זאת יהונתן פן יעצב ואולם חי יהוה וחי נפשך--כי כפשע ביני ובין המות
ASV	And David sware moreover, and said, Thy father knoweth well that I have found favor in thine eyes; and he saith, Let not Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved: but truly as Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and death.
BE	But David took his oath again and said, Your father sees that I am dear to you; so he says to himself, Let Jonathan have no idea of this, for it will be a grief to him; but as the Lord is living, and as your soul is living, there is only a step between me and death.
Darby	And David swore again and again, and said, Thy father certainly knows that I have found favour in thy sight: and he has thought, Jonathan shall not know this, lest he be grieved; but truly [as] Jehovah liveth, and [as] thy soul liveth, there is but a step between me and death.
ELB05	Und David fuhr fort und schwur und sprach: Dein Vater weiß wohl, daß ich Gnade gefunden habe in deinen Augen, und er hat gedacht: Jonathan soll dieses nicht wissen, damit er sich nicht betrübe. Aber doch, so wahr Jehova lebt und deine Seele lebt, nur ein Schritt ist zwischen mir und dem Tode!
LSG	David dit encore, en jurant: Ton père sait bien que j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, et il aura dit: Que Jonathan ne le sache pas; cela lui ferait de la peine. Mais l'Eternel est vivant et ton âme est vivante! il n'y a qu'un pas entre moi et la mort.
Sch	Da schwur David dazu und sprach: Dein Vater weiß wohl, daß ich Gnade vor deinen Augen gefunden habe; darum wird er denken: Jonatan soll solches nicht wissen, es könnte ihn bekümmern! Und wahrlich, so wahr der HERR lebt und so wahr deine Seele lebt, es ist nur ein Schritt zwischen mir und dem Tode!
